Parking Appeals

I attended Parking Appeals Committee this week. Please ask your respective constituencies how they would feel about adopting an altered form of the University of Dayton's current policy. They are talking about instituting a policy where you lose your right to appeal if you get more than three tickets for the same offense. The appeals system is constantly backed up and most of the offenders have 5 or more parking violations. Read more about Parking Appeals

The alumni are very interested on collaboration for our Homecoming 2012 initiatives. A carnival was suggested for the Homecoming weekend leading up to the football game and the dance during the 7th week. In organizing this, the organizations would each need to participate in a booth intended not for recruiting members, but for fun carnival games and a good time. Each would sponsor a game for example. AC Feb Meeting

The meeting today started with an introduction to the new womens volleyball coach.  Susan is from Niagara college where she turned around a struggling team and took them to three straight NCAA tournaments.

The blackboard to backboard challenge has seen very low participation.  With the exception of one night, votes have mainly stayed in the single digits.  The committee will review this program and see if they can do anything to increase particiaption.  Read more about AC Feb Meeting

Report (02/15/12)

Jeremy Keller's picture

We disscussed the proposed EC course. There were suggestions to be made, and also questions brought up about the overlap this course has with another course that is already in place.

We continued to look over the assessments that are in from the different colleges and areas. The CoSM report was approved, the CEHS assessment was asked to make some changes but otherwise looked good. We are still waiting for PHY assessments to come in so that we may finish approving the assessments.  Read more about Report (02/15/12)

February Meeting

At the meeting on Tuesday, it was discused that not every college has submitted books for spring quarter.  Although we are still a few weeks away there was a new law passed in Ohio requiring all book orders to be placed 2 weeks prior to open registration.  It is thought that once we switch to semesters this will be more heavily enforced.

There will be a bookstore open house on March 6th from 1130 until 1.  Several displays from the bookstore will be open to the public, to help better inform everyone on camput the many functions of the bookstore.  Read more about February Meeting
