Marc Tshimanyika

My name is Marc Tshimanyika.  I am a junior here at Wright State University.  I’m a Political Science major with a minor in International Studies.  I was born in Zaire, Kinshasa.  I came to the United States when I was 7 years old.  I speak French, Spanish, and English.  I have been involved in Student Government since my first year at WSU.  I have served as University College Senator and Director of International Student Affairs.  These positions have given me the opportunity to serve on various committees such as Student Legal Services, First Year Experience, and Study Abroad Committee.  I have also been a part of several other organizations such as International Cultural Exchange, UCIE, etc.  My goal throughout my Student Government career was to increase collaboration with other organizations in order to increase transparency and efficacy between our student leaders.  I have successfully worked with organizations such as BSU, ASA, ISA, and Rainbow Alliance.  I believe that in order to fully embrace the Wright State experience, you must participate in various extra-curricular activities as well.  I have been involved in various activities such as Intramural Football, Basketball, and the WSU Model UN team, which just recently won “Outstanding Delegation” at Nationals for the 33 year in a row.  I look forward to continue serving the student body and representing my constituency to the best of my abilities.
