Position
Speaker of the House

Hey, I'm Marissa Morton and I'm the Chief Justice for Student Government's 2009-2010 administration. I'm a "super senior" pursuing a degree in International Studies (Area studies track) with an European concentration, though I started out as an Accounting and Finance double major! Back at Hoover High School, in North Canton, Ohio, I was extremely active in our Mock Trial program. My freshman year I went to the State Competition with my team. Over those four years I learned a lot about legal systems, how to argue a point constructively, and how to keep the peace. At Wright State I decided to get involved by joining the Political Science Association (of which I am now President) and last year I joined Student Government as an Associate Justice. This year I hope to expand on the policies I help put in place as Associate last year and experiment a little with how elections are being run. We changed a lot of rules from last year, so it'll be exciting to see how it goes! I'm also in charge of the Safety subcommittee, so if you have any concerns, let me know! Email me at marissa.morton@wsusg.com or call x5508!
